Looking Beyond Ourselves: Understanding Who We Are And Our Responsibilities In a Changing World
The ninth grade theme, “Looking Beyond Ourselves: Understanding Who We Are And Our Responsibilities In a Changing World” indicates the global focus of the first year at Cleveland. Students learn about societies in various parts of the world: Australia, Mexico, Africa and China. The exploration includes the art of indigenous peoples as well as some of the contemporary cultural art gathered in galleries and museums throughout the world today. Students reproduce artistic creations that have been significant to the cultures being studied.
